THE FIRST  HUNDRED YEARS …..On June 24th 1861 ,the corner-stone of St John’s was laid, and on July  31st, 1862 the church was consecrated by Lord Auckland, Bishop of Bath and Wells……. More >>

Our History

The north aisle of the church was built in 1861 by C. G. Giles to provide a place of worship for the “labouring classes” of Bathwick. The large south aisle by A. Blomfield was added in 1871 to accommodate the large congregation. More >>
